I and my ESI colleague, Dr Christopher Len, were in Hanoi for a week in early April as part of our project to examine the non-technological constraints to rising production of unconventional gas in East Asia. Over the previous six weeks we had also visited Jakarta and Beijing as part of the preliminary stage of the project to build a team of partners from these three countries.

Whilst in Hanoi I gave a talk to the local chapter of the Association of International Petroleum Negotiators which was hosted by the Vietnam International Law Firm (VILAF). The presentation on the topic of China’s Energy Strategies can be found here.
